तीन नोकों वाला त्रिशूल धारण करने वाली - जिनका शस्त्र अज्ञान, अहंकार और वासना के तीनों बन्धनों को भेद देता है

तमिलनाडु, कर्नाटक और आन्ध्र में आयुध पूजा पर शल्य-उपकरण से लेकर कारखाने की मशीनें तक - सब पर माँ का आशीर्वाद माँगा जाता है। त्रिशूलिनी का भाव यह है कि सही इरादे से उठाया हर हथियार दिव्य है। 'त्रिशूलिनी' नाम हमें याद दिलाता है कि शक्ति का उपयोग धर्म के लिए होना चाहिए।
