धूप से प्रेम करने वाले; वह देव जो जलती हुई धूप के सुगन्धित धुएँ में आनंद लेते हैं, जो ऊपर स्वर्ग की ओर उठता हुआ भक्तों की प्रार्थनाएँ ऊपर ले जाता है और पवित्र स्थान के वातावरण को शुद्ध करता है

प्रतिदिन सुबह गणेश के सामने अगरबत्ती जलाने का अनुष्ठान लाखों भारतीय घरों और दुकानों में होता है; यह नाम उस दैनिक कार्य को पवित्र करता है, साधारण अगरबत्ती को दिव्य प्रेम का माध्यम बनाता है।
