निर्मल, धब्बारहित; वह देव जिनकी आवश्यक प्रकृति किसी भी कलंक, दाग या अशुद्धता से पूर्णतः मुक्त है, वह पूर्ण पारदर्शिता जिसके माध्यम से दिव्य प्रकाश बिना बाधा के चमकता है

प्रत्येक पूजा की शुरुआत में गणेश-मूर्ति को धोकर साफ करने की प्रथा इस नाम का अनुष्ठानिक कृत्यांकन है; प्रतिमा की निर्मलता बनाए रखना भक्त की अपनी आंतरिक स्पष्टता बनाए रखने की आकांक्षा को दर्शाता है।
