महागुह्यः

The great sacred secret; the deity whose deepest nature is the mahāguhya - the great esoteric reality that is hidden not because it is distant but because it is too intimate, too obvious, too present to be grasped by the mind that is looking for it elsewhere

महान पवित्र रहस्य; वह देव जिनकी गहनतम प्रकृति महागुह्य है - वह महान रहस्यमय वास्तविकता जो छुपी हुई है न इसलिए कि यह दूर है बल्कि इसलिए कि यह बहुत अंतरंग, बहुत स्पष्ट, बहुत उपस्थित है उस मन के लिए जो इसे कहीं और ढूंढ रहा है

भगवद् गीता अपनी उच्चतम शिक्षा को 'सभी रहस्यों में सबसे रहस्यमय' (गुह्यतम) कहती है; महागुह्य गणेश उस सबसे पवित्र रहस्य की जीवित अभिव्यक्ति है।
