मंगल शब्द से मंगलवार, मंगलसूत्र, मंगलाचरण, सब बनते हैं। देवी स्वयं मंगल की आकृति हैं। जब कोई शुभ काम शुरू करें, पहले 'शुभ' बोलें। Inauguration से पहले ribbon काटें, grand opening से पहले नारियल फोड़ें, सब मंगलाचरण हैं। देवी की उपस्थिति हर शुरुआत को मंगलमय बनाती है।
