Natural disaster आए — Kerala floods, Uttarakhand landslide, Chennai cyclone — तो relief camps जो बनते हैं वो शरण्य भाव हैं। Orphanages, old age homes, women's shelters — ये सब institutions शरण्य शिव का काम कर रही हैं। जब कोई student depression में हो और college counsellor को approach करे — वो counsellor शरण्य है। गाँव का मंदिर जहाँ कोई भी किसी भी वक़्त जाकर बैठ सकता है, रो सकता है, प्रार्थना कर सकता है — वो शरण्य स्थान है।
