Vidura's Veiled Warning

The Pandavas take leave of Bhishma, Dhritarashtra, Drona, Kripa, Vidura and the other elders and set out, followed by grieving townsfolk. Some brahmins openly condemn Dhritarashtra's injustice and resolve to follow Yudhishthira, but he tells them the king's word must be obeyed and sends them home. Vidura, speaking in riddling language that only Yudhishthira understands, warns him of a weapon not made of iron, of fire, and of escape by a burrow; Yudhishthira later explains the warning to Kunti. On the eighth day, under the star Rohini, the Pandavas reach Varanavata.
