The Brahmins on the Road to Panchala

After Vyasa's departure the Pandavas set out with their mother and, travelling as brahmacharis, fall in with a company of Brahmins bound for Panchala. The Brahmins tell them of Draupadi's miraculous birth from the altar, of her brother Dhrishtadyumna, born to slay Drona, and of the coming svayamvara with its gathering of kings and lavish gifts, and suggest that Draupadi might choose one of these handsome brothers. Yudhishthira agrees to go with them.

"Where are you going, sirs, and where do you come from?" Yudhishthira answered: "We have set out from Ekachakra — brothers born of one mother, godlike to look upon.
