Arjuna in an Ascetic's Guise Meets Krishna at Prabhasa
Arjuna visits the sacred fords of the western coast and reaches Prabhasa, where, remembering what Gada had told him of Subhadra, he resolves to win her and takes the guise of a wandering ascetic. In Dvaraka Krishna learns of this through his divine knowledge and laughs, and explains the reason to the curious Satyabhama. Krishna then goes alone to Prabhasa; the two friends embrace, Arjuna tells his story, and they spend the night on Mount Raivataka, after which Arjuna, still in his disguise, stays behind while Krishna returns to a festive welcome in Dvaraka.

Note on the text: Speaker: Wikisource carries श्रीभगवान् over from the heading before verse 14, but this is narration (Vaishampayana; note the vocative जनमेजय in verses 32 and 36).
