Subhadra Comes to Indraprastha as a Cowherd Girl

Halting at his cattle-station outside the city, Arjuna asks Subhadra to go ahead dressed as a cowherd woman, so that Draupadi's first words to her will be kind. Among the cowherd girls she enters Khandavaprastha, bows to Kunti, and greets Draupadi as her servant; Draupadi embraces her and blesses her. Arjuna then enters the city with the Yadava escort, salutes Dhaumya, his mother and his elder brothers, tells them of his pilgrimage, and is honoured by Yudhishthira, while Subhadra wins the love of the whole household.
