Surabhi and the Gift of Brahma
Yudhishthira asks how the world of cows can stand above even the Lord who is creator of the gods. Bhishma tells how Surabhi (Rohini) was made by Vishvakarman through austerity, how a youth born of her radiance was named Martanda and given her to wife, and how Brahma blessed them: their offspring would give the milk for sacrifice, lift the worlds, and dwell in a realm above his own. Surabhi, content, returned to her world.
