Skanda, Vishnu and Bhishma Close the Secrets of Dharma

Skanda gives two further rules: a three-day bath with clay from the horns of a dark bull, and a full-moon offering of cooked food and honey in a vessel of udumbara wood to the rising moon. Vishnu declares that whoever recites, hears or recounts these secrets of dharma is freed from obstacles and sins. Bhishma ends by telling Yudhishthira that this teaching, set out by Vyasa, is to be given only to the faithful.
