The Sages Praise Krishna and Bhishma Ends His Teaching
Narada tells how the sky clouded over and Shiva vanished from the Himalaya, and how the sages afterwards praised Krishna and asked to see him again. Bhishma then tells how Krishna returned to Dvaraka and a son, who is Kama, was born to Rukmini; he says that Krishna is Narayana, the support of the Pandavas' victory, and that Yudhishthira should not grieve, since Time has destroyed the Kurus. He urges Yudhishthira to remember Shiva's teaching and to protect his people by dharma; the assembly falls silent in wonder, and Yudhishthira questions Bhishma again.
