Sanatkumara and Narada: The Nine Creations
Yudhishthira asks how beings tormented by birth and death may be freed from sorrow. Bhishma recounts the sons of Brahma, among them Sanatkumara and the seven great sages, and then a conversation between Sanatkumara and Narada. Narada asks about the origin and dissolution of the unmanifest and of the Supreme Purusha. Sanatkumara names Narayana and sets out the nine creations in order, with the length of Brahma's days and nights, the five elements, the senses and the mind, ending at the twenty-four principles.
