The Vrishni Princes Ride Out Against Shalva

Shalva pitches a great camp by Dvaraka and sends his army against the city. The young Vrishni princes ride out to meet it: Samba puts Shalva's general Kshemadhurti to flight and kills the Daitya Vegavat with his mace, and Charudeshna slays the Danava Vivindhya with a charmed arrow. When Shalva returns in his Saubha and the city's army wavers, Pradyumna steadies the troops and vows to destroy Saubha and its lord.
