Duryodhana Taken Captive

With Karna routed, the Kaurava army flees, but Duryodhana stands and fights until the Gandharvas shatter his chariot; Chitrasena takes him alive, binds him and carries him off, while other Gandharvas seize Duhshasana, several of his brothers and all the royal women. The fleeing troops, camp followers and Duryodhana's ministers run to the Pandavas for refuge and beg them to give chase. Bhima scoffs that the Gandharvas have done what the Pandavas ought to have done, until Yudhishthira tells him that this is no time for harsh words.
