Keshini Questions Bahuka

Suspecting that the misshapen charioteer Bahuka may be Nala, Damayanti sends her maid Keshini to question him. Bahuka explains that Rituparna has come for the second svayamvara and that Varshneya, Nala's former charioteer, does not know where Nala is. When Keshini repeats the words Parnada had carried and asks for the reply again, Bahuka answers that noble women do not grow angry with a husband ruined by misfortune, and then breaks down in tears; Keshini reports everything to Damayanti.
