Nala Wins Back His Kingdom
Brihadashva continues the tale. Nala returns to Nishadha with a small force and challenges Pushkara to play again, staking Damayanti and all he has against the kingdom, or else to fight him in single combat. Pushkara boasts that he will win Damayanti, but loses everything in a single throw. Nala, holding Kali and not Pushkara to blame for his ruin, spares him, returns his share and sends him home with honour, and the people of the city welcome their king back with joy.
