The Dead Meet Their Kin and Depart

Through the night the dead warriors and their families, freed of anger and grief, meet one another with joy. At dawn Vyasa sends the departed back to their several worlds, and the widows who wish to follow their husbands enter the Ganga and rise to join them. The adhyaya closes with the fruit of hearing this account.
