Brahma Describes Sattva, the Quality of Goodness
Brahma describes the third and highest quality, sattva, the lasting dharma of the good, whose marks include joy, serenity, forbearance, non-violence, truth, compassion and detachment. Those who live by sattva and rest in Brahman cast off sin, become ageless and deathless, reach heaven and take what forms they wish. Brahma ends by saying that the man who knows the three qualities enjoys them without being bound by them.
