Krishna Arrives and Delivers Arjuna's Message
With the kings and Vedic scholars gathering, Yudhishthira has Bhima see that all are duly honoured. Krishna arrives with Baladeva and the Vrishni heroes and is lodged. In conversation Krishna tells Yudhishthira of a man from Dvaraka who saw Arjuna worn by many battles, and relays Arjuna's message: honour every arriving king so that no mishap occurs as at the offering of the arghya, and receive his own son Babhruvahana, king of Manalura, with due honour.

The page prints no speaker heading for this adhyaya (the cell before the first verse is blank); the narrator Vaishampayana is assumed, as in the critical edition ("vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca"). Line 2 reads भीमसेनमभाषत against the critical edition's भीमसेनमथाब्रवीत् (bhīmasenam athābravīt); recension variant, kept.

Then Govinda, the best of all living beings, came to Yudhishthira with the Vrishnis, putting Baladeva in front,
Note on the text: The critical edition has three star lines after line 1 (14,088.004b*0167_01-03) that Wikisource lacks.
Verse 5 (14.87.5)
युयुधानेन सहितः प्रद्युम्नेन गदेन च । निशठेनाथ सांबेन तथैव कृतवर्मणा ॥
yuyudhānena sahitaḥ pradyumnena gadena ca | niśaṭhenātha sāṃbena tathaiva kṛtavarmaṇā

teṣāmapi parāṃ pūjāṃ cakre bhīmo mahārathaḥ | viviśuste ca veśmāni ratnavanti ca sarvaśaḥ
Bhima, the great chariot-warrior, paid them too the highest honour, and they entered houses that were rich with jewels on every side.
Note on the text: Line 1 reads भीमो महारथः against the critical edition's भीमो महाभुजः (bhīmo mahābhujaḥ); line 2 reads रत्नवन्ति च सर्वशः against …नरर्षभाः; recension variants, kept.
Verse 7 (14.87.7)

Kunti's son, the son of Dharma, kept asking him again and again about the subduer of foes, Jishnu, Indra's son; and the lord of the world told him.
Note on the text: Corrected प्रपच्छ → पप्रच्छ (misprint in Wikisource; the perfect of प्रच्छ is पप्रच्छ; the critical edition reads papraccha). Line 2 reads धर्मजः शक्रजं जिष्णुं समाचष्ट जगत्पतिः against the critical edition's धर्मराड् भ्रातरं जिष्णुं समाचष्ट जगत्पतिः (dharmarāḍ bhrātaraṃ jiṣṇuṃ samācaṣṭa jagatpatiḥ); recension variant, kept.

"A man who lives in Dvaraka has come, O king, his errand done; he saw the best of the Pandavas worn out by many battles.
Note on the text: Not headed on the page; this is Krishna's reply (the critical edition has the same speech after "samācaṣṭa jagatpatiḥ"). Line 1 reads समाप्तः against the critical edition's मम आप्तः (mamāptaḥ, 'trusted by me'); समाप्त is a valid word ('having finished his errand'), so the Wikisource reading is kept.

Note on the text: Line 2 (the beginning of Yudhishthira's reply) reads दिष्ट्या स कुशली जिष्णुरुपायाति च माधव against the critical edition's …जिष्णुर् उपयाति; the same sense, kept. Narration and speech share the verse, so the narrator keeps it.
