Narada Tells of Rama, Son of Dasharatha
Narada tells how Rama, son of Dasharatha, lived fourteen years in the forest, killed the rakshasas of Janasthana, and after Sita was carried off crossed the sea with the monkeys and slew Ravana. Returning to Ayodhya, he ruled the earth for eleven thousand years, performed a hundred horse sacrifices, and filled the world with health, long life and righteousness before ascending to heaven. If even he died, Srinjaya should not grieve for his son.
