Bhima and Ashvatthama Fight Until Both Fall Senseless

Sanjaya tells Dhritarashtra how Ashvatthama and Bhimasena exchange volleys of arrows, each unshaken by the other, and then wheel round one another in leftward circles. Their contest passes into a duel of divine weapons that kindles fire in the sky, and the Siddhas cry that there will never be such a battle again. At last both are struck down by arrows and fall senseless in their chariots, and their charioteers carry them from the field.
