Yudhishthira and Duryodhana Fight; Duryodhana Falls Senseless

Despairing at Sanjaya's reports, Dhritarashtra asks how the afternoon fighting went after Duryodhana had lost his chariot. Sanjaya tells how Duryodhana, on a fresh chariot, drives at Yudhishthira; the two cut each other's bows and trade showers of arrows until Duryodhana's spear is shot to pieces. Yudhishthira's arrow stuns Duryodhana, and when Duryodhana comes on with his mace, Yudhishthira's great spear pierces him and he falls senseless. Kritavarma comes to the king's rescue and Bhima rushes at Kritavarma.
