Karna Ravages the Pandava Host
The battle between Karna and the Pandavas breaks out again, and the warriors snatch up weapons of every kind. The din makes elephants tremble and soldiers fall. Karna cuts through the Panchala ranks, destroying chariots, elephants and horsemen, while the Pandava champions rush at him together. Sanjaya then describes the carnage as men, horses, elephants and chariots fall in heaps and the dead lie strewn across the field.
