Krishna Returns to Dvaraka

After a happy stay at Khandavaprastha, Krishna takes leave of Kunti, Subhadra, Draupadi and Dhaumya, performs the rites for a journey and sets out in his Garuda-bannered chariot. Yudhishthira himself takes the reins, Arjuna waves the whisk and Bhima holds the parasol; after half a yojana Krishna persuades the Pandavas to turn back, and they gaze after him until he is out of sight. Krishna reaches Dvaraka and greets his elders and sons, while Yudhishthira returns to his city and Maya begins the hall.
