Bhima Sets Out East and Visits Shishupala
At the same time Bhimasena takes leave of Yudhishthira and marches east with a great army. He wins over the Panchalas by conciliation, conquers the Gandakas, the Videhas and the Dasharnas, whose king Sudharma fights him hand to hand and is made commander of his army, and defeats Rochamana of Ashvamedha, the eastern country and the Pulindas. At Yudhishthira's command he goes to Shishupala, king of Chedi, who welcomes him, hears his purpose, accepts it, and entertains him for thirty nights.
