Nakula Speaks for the Householder's Life and Sacrifice

After Arjuna, Nakula addresses Yudhishthira, who wishes to renounce the world. He argues that even the gods rest on action, that true renunciation is giving up pride and not leaving one's home, and that the householder's life of sacrifice, giving and duty to ancestors, gods and guests is the weightiest of the orders. A passage on the Lord as the one source of consciousness and action follows, and Nakula closes by urging the king to perform the great sacrifices, give generously to brahmins, protect his people and put grief aside.
