Krishna Asks Bhishma to Teach Dharma
Janamejaya asks what was said around Bhishma on his bed of arrows. Narada tells the Pandavas and the surviving kings to question Bhishma before he departs, and Krishna, at Yudhishthira's request, goes up to him. Bhishma says that by Krishna's grace his pain has gone and all dharma stands clear in his mind, and asks why Krishna has not spoken himself. Krishna replies that he wishes to spread Bhishma's fame, and urges him to teach dharma to the waiting kings.
