Gandhari and Kunti Meet the Pandavas; Draupadi's Grief
Gandhari, still angry, asks where Yudhishthira is. He comes to her trembling and offers himself for her curse, but she only sighs, and through the edge of her blindfold her gaze falls on the tips of his toes, whose nails are at once disfigured. Arjuna moves behind Krishna, and Gandhari calms down and comforts the Pandavas as a mother would. They go to Kunti, who weeps over her scarred sons and finds Draupadi lying on the ground, mourning her children. Kunti raises her and, together with her, goes to Gandhari, who says that the destruction was ordained by Time, recalls Vidura's warning, and tells Draupadi that she too is without comfort.

Note on the text: Corrected तस्मावनतदेहस्य → तस्यावनतदेहस्य (misprint in Wikisource; म for य; CE 11.15.6a tasyāvanatadehasya). Lines 1–2 are CE 11.15.6a and 6c; line 2 reads दीर्घदर्शिनी where the CE has dharmadarśinī (recension variant, kept). The sentence runs on into the next verse.
