Rasatala and Surabhi, Mother of Cows
Narada brings Matali to Rasatala, the seventh nether world, home of Surabhi, the mother of cows, who sprang from Brahma's mouth. He tells how her milk formed the Ocean of Milk where the foam-drinking sages live, names the four cows who uphold the four quarters, and recalls that the churning of their milk yielded Lakshmi, the nectar and other treasures. He ends with an old song praising Rasatala as the happiest of all dwelling places.
