How Long Each Kuru Commander Would Need
At dawn Duryodhana asks Bhishma, before the whole army, in how long he, Drona, Kripa, Karna and Ashvatthaman could destroy the Pandava host. Bhishma, setting himself a daily portion of ten thousand warriors and a thousand chariot-fighters, says a month; Drona also says a month, Kripa two months, Ashvatthaman ten nights and Karna five. Bhishma laughs at Karna and tells him he speaks so only because he has not yet met Arjuna with Krishna in battle.
