That person who daily recites this stotra, which delights the Devi, has no fear of mental or physical affliction, nor indeed any fear of enemies,

Verse 58 (devibhagavatam.8.24.58)

arthārthī cārthamāpnoti dharmārthī dharmamāpnuyāt | kāmānavāpnuyātkāmī mokṣārthī mokṣamājapnuyāt

— one seeking wealth obtains wealth; one seeking dharma attains dharma; one seeking desire attains his desires; one seeking liberation attains liberation,

Verse 59 (devibhagavatam.8.24.59)

brāhmaṇo vedasampano vijayī kṣatriyo bhavet | vaiśyaśca dhanadhānyāḍhyo bhavecchūdraḥ sukhādhikaḥ

— a brahmin becomes accomplished in the Vedas; a kshatriya becomes victorious; a vaishya grows rich in wealth and grain; and a shudra attains greater happiness.

Verse 60 (devibhagavatam.8.24.60)

evamārādhanaṁ devyāḥ samuktaṁ surapūjitam | yaḥ karoti naro bhaktyā sa devīlokabhāgbhavet

Thus the worship of the Devi, honored even by the gods, has been fully declared. That person who performs it with devotion becomes a sharer in the world of the Devi.

Verse 62 (devibhagavatam.8.24.62)

devīpūjanato vipra sarve kāmā bhavanti hi | sarvapāpahatiḥ śuddhā matirante prajāyate

O brahmin, through worship of the Devi, indeed every desire is fulfilled; all sin is destroyed, and a pure understanding is born at the end of life,

Verse 63 (devibhagavatam.8.24.63)

yatra tatra bhavetpūjyo mānyo mānadhaneṣu ca | jāyate jagadambāyāḥ prasādena virañcija

— wherever he goes, he becomes worthy of worship and honor, respected even among the most dignified; this comes about, O son of the lotus-born, by the grace of the Mother of the world,

Verse 64 (devibhagavatam.8.24.64)

narakāṇāṁ na tasyāsti bhayaṁ svapne'pi kutracit | mahāmāyāprasādena putrapautrādivardhanaḥ

— he has no fear of the hells anywhere, not even in a dream. By the grace of Mahamaya, he flourishes with sons, grandsons, and more,

Verse 65 (devibhagavatam.8.24.65)

devībhakto bhavatyeva nātra kāryā vicāraṇā | ityevaṁ te samākhyātaṁ narakoddhāralakṣaṇam

— and he indeed becomes a devotee of the Devi — no doubt should be entertained about this. Thus has this teaching, marked by deliverance from hell, been declared to you,

Verse 66 (devibhagavatam.8.24.66)

pūjanaṁ hi mahādevyāḥ sarvamaṅgalakārakam | madhūkapūjanaṁ tadvanmāsānāṁ kramato mune

— for the worship of the great Devi brings about every auspiciousness. Likewise, O sage, the worship of the Madhuka tree, performed month by month in due order,

Verse 67 (devibhagavatam.8.24.67)

sarvaṁ samācaredyastu pūjanaṁ madhukāhvayam | na tasya rogabādhādibhayamudbhavate'nagha

— whoever performs this entire worship, called the worship of the Madhuka, for him, O sinless one, no fear of disease or affliction ever arises.

Verse 68 (devibhagavatam.8.24.68)

athānyadapi vakṣyāmi prakṛteḥ pañcakaṁ param | nāmnā rūpeṇa cotpattyā jagadānandadāyakam

Now I shall tell of something else as well — the supreme fivefold Prakriti, described by name, by form, and by origin, the bestower of joy upon the world,

Verse 69 (devibhagavatam.8.24.69)

sākhyānaṁ ca samāhātmyaṁ prakṛteḥ pañcakaṁ mune | kutūhalakara caiva śṛṇu muktividhāyakam

— hear, O sage, the account and full greatness of this fivefold Prakriti — a thing both wondrous to hear and one that bestows liberation.
