aditirjanayāmāsa daivāṁstribhuvaneśvarān daityānditirdanuścogrāndānavānuruvikramān
Aditi gave birth to the gods, the lords of the three worlds; Diti bore the Daityas, and Danu the fierce Danavas of immense might.

From Krodha were born the Kulyas, and from Rishta the hosts of Apsarases; O Brahmin, Ira gave birth to Airavata and the other elephants.
Verse 8 (markandeya.101.8)

Their rivals — the Daityas and Danavas, united together with the Rakshasas — began to oppress them, and a most terrible war broke out between them.
Verse 14 (markandeya.101.14)
divyaṁ varṣasahasraṁ tu parājīyanta devatāḥ jayinaścābhavanvipra balino daityadānavāḥ

tato nirākṛtānputrāndaiteyairdānavaistathā hṛtatribhuvanāndṛṣṭvā hyaditirmunisattama
Then Aditi, O best of sages, seeing her sons cast down by the Daityas and Danavas, and the three worlds seized from them,
Verse 16 (markandeya.101.16)

Just as, before this, though taking no food, she had seen the blazing Vivasvat in the sky, hard as he was to behold — thereafter,
Verse 34 (markandeya.101.34)

Verse 36 (markandeya.101.36)

'You are Brahma, and Hari known as the unborn; you are Indra, the lord of wealth, the lord of the ancestors, the lord of the waters, and the wind; you are Soma, Agni, the lord of the sky, the mountain, and the ocean — what praise indeed could suffice for you, whose very form embraces all things?'

'You cook the universe with your heat, you protect it, you reduce it to ashes, you make it manifest through your rays whose depths hold the waters; as the lotus-born you create it, as Achyuta you preserve it, and alone, in the form of Rudra, you destroy it at the end of the age.'
