tasya karmavipāko'yaṁ yadāptaṁ bhūpateḥ kulam vaiṣṇavaṁ viśadaṁ vīra duṣprāpyaṁ pāpakarmabhiḥ

divyādevī varaṁ nāma jātaṁ cāsyāṁ narottama yacca dattavatī cānnaṁ bhogyasaukhyasukhāni ca
That Divyadevi, of excellent name, was born as your daughter, O best of men; and because she gave food, and the pleasures of enjoyment and happiness,
Verse 118 (padma.5.92.118)
brāhmaṇāya purā tasmai gaṇikātve'pi saṁgatā snātvā ca mādhave māsi kiṁcittatrāpi yaddadau
formerly, to that brahmin, even while yet a courtesan, and because, having bathed in the month of Madhava, she gave something there too —
Verse 119 (padma.5.92.119)
tasya dānasya sā bhuṁkte snānasya ca phalodayam pibate śītalaṁ toyaṁ miṣṭānnaṁ ca tathāniśam
she enjoys the rise of the fruit of that gift and that bathing; she drinks cool water and sweet food continually,
Verse 120 (padma.5.92.120)
divyānbhogānprabhuṁjānā vartate ca prabhorgṛhe bhuṁjate vidhidattaṁ ca duḥkhaśokādipīḍitā
enjoying divine pleasures, dwelling in the house of a lord — while those who merely enjoy what is given by rule remain afflicted by sorrow, grief and the like.
Verse 121 (padma.5.92.121)
yatpurā naranārīṇāṁ gṛhabhaṁgaratā'bhavat tasyakarmavipāko'yamasyāḥ kiṁcidupasthitaḥ
That she was formerly devoted to breaking the households of men and women — this is the ripening of that deed, somewhat still remaining with her.
Verse 122 (padma.5.92.122)
mādhavasnānamāhātmyādvinaiva yamayātanām mahāpāpāpi te vīra suṁdarī sā sutābhavat
Through the glory of the Vaishakha bath, without even the torment of Yama, that woman, though a great sinner, O hero, became your beautiful daughter.
Verse 123 (padma.5.92.123)
etatte sarvamākhyātaṁ tava putryā viceṣṭitam sarvajanmabhavaṁ vīra karma duṣkarmasaṁbhavam
This, all of it, has been told to you — the conduct of your daughter, the deed born of all her births, arising from evil deeds.
