yo māmiha samabhyarcya mriyatenyatrakutracit || janmāṁtarepi māṁ prāpya sa vimukto bhaviṣyati

"Whoever, having worshipped me here, dies anywhere else - even in another birth, having attained me again, he shall become liberated."

Verse 118 (skanda.4.64.118)

ityuktvā kṣetramāhātmyaṁ dvijānāmagrato haraḥ || paśyatāmeva teṣāṁ tu tatraivāṁtarhitobhavat

Having thus spoken the glory of the sacred field before the Brahmins, Hara, even as they watched, vanished right there.

Verse 119 (skanda.4.64.119)

tepi sākṣādvirūpākṣaṁ pratyakṣīkṛtya vāḍavāḥ || prahṛṣṭamanaso'tyaṁtaṁ prayayuḥ svasvamāśrayam

Those Brahmins too, having directly beheld Virupaksha face to face, their minds exceedingly delighted, went each to his own dwelling.

Verse 120 (skanda.4.64.120)

śaṁbhorvākyaṁ viniścitya sarvajñasya kṛpānidheḥ || tyaktvā kāryāṁtaraṁ viprā liṁgānyeva samarciṣuḥ

Having resolved firmly upon the word of Shambhu, the all-knowing treasury of compassion, the Brahmins, abandoning every other task, worshipped only the lingas.

Verse 121 (skanda.4.64.121)

||skaṁda uvāca|| paṭhitvā pāṭhayitvā ca rahasyākhyānamuttamam || śraddhāluḥ pātakairmuktaḥ śivaloke mahīyate

Skanda said: "Whoever, with faith, reads or has read this excellent secret narrative, is freed from sins and is glorified in the world of Shiva."
