engaged in the recitation of sacred stories and devoted to the study of the Veda; when the pure dawn arrives, one should worship the Lord of the thirty gods.

Verse 22 (skanda.5.217.22)
ब्राह्मणः क्षत्रियैर्वैश्यैः शूद्रैः स्त्रीभिश्च शक्तितः। तेऽपि यान्ति नरा लोके शांकरे सुरपूजिते॥
brāhmaṇaḥ kṣatriyairvaiśyaiḥ śūdraiḥ strībhiśca śaktitaḥ| te'pi yānti narā loke śāṁkare surapūjite||
whether he be a brahmin, or a kshatriya, vaishya, shudra, or a woman, according to their ability — such people also go to the world of Shankara, worshipped by the gods.
Verse 23 (skanda.5.217.23)
यः शृणोति सदा भक्त्या माहात्म्यं तीर्थजं नृप। तस्य पापं प्रणश्येत षण्मासाभ्यन्तरं च यत्॥
yaḥ śṛṇoti sadā bhaktyā māhātmyaṁ tīrthajaṁ nṛpa| tasya pāpaṁ praṇaśyeta ṣaṇmāsābhyantaraṁ ca yat||
O king, whoever ever hears with devotion the greatness born of that tirtha — his sin, whatever it be, is destroyed within six months."
