The Glory of Uma-Maheshvara Tirtha

Verse 1 (skanda.7.442.1)

॥ पुलस्त्य उवाच ॥ उमामाहेश्वरं गच्छेत्ततो राजन्सुपुण्यदम्॥ स्थापितं भक्तियुक्तेन धुन्धुमारेण यत्पुरा

|| pulastya uvāca || umāmāheśvaraṁ gacchettato rājansupuṇyadam|| sthāpitaṁ bhaktiyuktena dhundhumāreṇa yatpurā

Pulastya said: Thereafter, O king, one should go to Uma-Maheshvara, a great bestower of merit, which was established long ago by the devoted Dhundhumara.

Verse 2 (skanda.7.442.2)

दांपत्यं पूजयेद्भक्त्या यस्तत्र मनुजाधिप॥ सप्त जन्मांतराण्येव न स दौर्भाग्यमाप्नुयात

dāṁpatyaṁ pūjayedbhaktyā yastatra manujādhipa|| sapta janmāṁtarāṇyeva na sa daurbhāgyamāpnuyāta

O lord of men, whoever worships this divine couple (Uma-Maheshvara) there with devotion shall not encounter misfortune for seven successive births.
