That Mandara, delightful with hosts of various Charanas and Siddhas, made his own dwelling by the three-eyed one himself — the Daityas then, permitted entry by the Lord, all climbed it, seeking their own victory.
Verse 44 (skanda.8.131.44)

That Mandara, with its terrible rocks, boulders, and trees, abounding in tigers, hyenas, and elephants, was violently agitated by the great Asuras with their proud horses and elephants, like a cloud by fierce winds.
Verse 47 (skanda.8.131.47)

Resembling white clouds, they hurl rocks in places, uproot trees, and roar like clouds; though checked, they crush the Pramathas, like lions in the forests crushing herds of deer.
Verse 48 (skanda.8.131.48)

Then that mountain, surrounded by Danavas with elephants, chariots, and horses, resembling a churned great ocean, shone forth, guarded by the arms of the sons of Diti, like a forest guarded by the arms of the lion-king.
