चिन्तामणि, वह मनोकामना-पूर्ण मणि जिसके केवल चिन्तन से खोजने वाले मन की हर वास्तविक आकांक्षा पूरी होती है

चिन्तामणि दत्तात्रेय को चिन्तामणि: विचार-मणि, मनोकामना-पूर्ण रत्न नाम देता है। भारत के पौराणिक खजाने में चिन्तामणि सबसे बहुमूल्य सम्भव वस्तुओं में से एक है। चिन्तामणि का रूपक विशेष रूप से उपयुक्त है: दत्तात्रेय की कृपा अपनी अन्तर्निहित करुणामय शक्ति के माध्यम से वास्तविक इच्छाओं को पूर्ण करती है।
