देवी ब्रह्माण्ड की स्वामिनी हैं लेकिन कुटुम्बिनी (गृहिणी) भी हैं। यह नाम सिखाता है कि गृहस्थ जीवन आध्यात्मिकता से कम नहीं। जो स्त्री घर सँभालती है, बच्चे पालती है, पति का ध्यान रखती है, वह सबसे बड़ी साधिका है। Kitchen को मन्दिर मानें, cooking को यज्ञ, और परिवार-सेवा को पूजा।
