हिमवान (हिमाचल) की पुत्री - जो शाश्वत हिम से प्रकट शुद्ध चेतना का स्वरूप हैं

केनोपनिषद् में हैमवती देवी ने इन्द्र, वायु और अग्नि - तीनों देवताओं को ब्रह्मज्ञान दिया। वे बर्फ में से प्रकट हुईं और परम सत्य सिखाया। कश्मीर की शैव परम्परा में हर हिमपात में हैमवती का स्पर्श महसूस होता है। यह नाम ज्ञान और शान्ति दोनों का संगम है।

ॐChant in winter, especially during the cold of Makar Sankranti and Uttarayan when mountain shrines are snowed in and the goddess seems especially close. Also beloved in the Kena Upanishad, where Haimavatī appears as the supreme teacher of Brahman.
