सत्यसन्धाना

She who fastens to truth; the goddess who binds herself to truth with absolute finality - whose connection to what is real admits no loosening, no compromise, no conditional attachment

सत्य से जुड़ी हुई - जो परम अन्तिमता के साथ सत्य से स्वयं को बाँधती हैं, जिनका वास्तविक से सम्बन्ध कोई ढीलापन, कोई समझौता, कोई सशर्त लगाव नहीं जानता

भारत का स्वतन्त्रता आन्दोलन सत्यसन्धाना के सिद्धान्त पर बना था: सत्य के प्रति गाँधी की प्रतिबद्धता नीति-विकल्प नहीं बल्कि एक तत्त्वमीमांसात्मक विश्वास था। सत्यसन्धा (सत्य की प्रतिज्ञाबद्ध) और सत्यसन्धाना (सत्य से जुड़ी) के बीच का अन्तर प्रतिबद्धता और पहचान के बीच का है।

ॐChant when making the most serious commitments to truth-telling and when the cost of maintaining truth seems highest. Satyasandhānā is stronger than Satyasandhā - where the pledge implies a choice, the fastening implies a completion: the goddess is bound to truth so completely that the very idea of separation from it is meaningless.
