महाकाली - समय और महापरिवर्तन की परम काली देवी जो महादेवी के तीन प्रमुख पहलुओं में से एक हैं और प्रत्येक ब्रह्माण्डीय चक्र के अन्त में समस्त सृष्टि को समेट लेती हैं

महादेवी के तीन पहलू - महाकाली (विनाश, समाप्ति), महालक्ष्मी (समृद्धि, पालन), महासरस्वती (ज्ञान, सृजन) - हर जीवन-चक्र के तीन चरणों से बिल्कुल मेल खाते हैं। जो व्यक्ति किसी बड़े परिवर्तन से गुज़र रहा हो - स्नातक, सेवानिवृत्ति, सम्बन्ध समाप्त - वह तीनों एक साथ अनुभव कर रहा है। भारतीय परम्परा हर चरण को आदर से नाम देती है क्योंकि तीनों पवित्र हैं।
