पितामही - पितृपक्ष की दैवीय नानी के रूप में देवी, वह बुद्धि जो पिता के वंश के माध्यम से उतरती है, वह पूर्वज जिनके ज्ञान ने परिवार के ही स्वरूप को आकार दिया

श्राद्ध और पितृ पक्ष परम्पराएँ - पितृ-अर्पण को समर्पित पखवाड़ा - इस पहचान पर बनी हैं कि पूर्वज उपस्थित और प्रभावशाली रहते हैं। पितामही देवी को पितृपक्ष की दैवीय पूर्वज के रूप में नामित करती है, जिससे प्रत्येक पितृ-अर्पण दैवीय पूजा का कार्य भी बन जाता है।

Together they honour both ancestral lineages: maternal and paternal, both flowing through the goddess.
