परायणः

The supreme goal and refuge; the highest destination toward which all spiritual paths ultimately lead, and the ultimate shelter in which the weary soul finally finds complete rest from all seeking

परम लक्ष्य और शरण; वह उच्चतम गन्तव्य जिसकी ओर सभी आध्यात्मिक मार्ग अन्ततः जाते हैं, और वह परम आश्रय जिसमें थकी हुई आत्मा अन्ततः समस्त खोज से सम्पूर्ण विश्राम पाती है

परम शरण के रूप में परायण की अवधारणा भारत की समर्पण-आधारित भक्ति परम्परा के साथ गहराई से अनुगूँजती है; यह नाम भक्त को खोज रोकने और यह पहचानने के लिए आमन्त्रित करता है कि वे पहले से ही उस गन्तव्य पर पहुँच चुके हैं जिसे वे खोज रहे थे।
