प्रशान्तः

The supremely peaceful one; whose peace is not the ordinary quietude of a calm day but the profound, rock-deep prashānti that arises from complete realisation and can never be disturbed by any event in any world

परम शान्त; जिनकी शान्ति शान्त दिन का साधारण सुकून नहीं बल्कि वह गहरी, चट्टानी प्रशान्ति है जो पूर्ण साक्षात्कार से उठती है और किसी भी लोक में किसी भी घटना से कभी विचलित नहीं हो सकती

भारत के महानतम ध्यान शिक्षकों की पहचान ठीक इसी गुण से होती है: उनसे विकीर्ण होने वाली प्रशान्ति स्पष्ट है, अनिर्मित, तकनीक से परे - और यह नाम गणेश को उसके दिव्य स्रोत के रूप में पहचानता है।
