मृत्युञ्जयः

The conqueror of death; the deity who has definitively overcome and transcended the mortality that all embodied beings fear, and who by his grace can help the devotee transcend the fear of death and recognise their own deathless nature

मृत्यु के विजेता; वह देव जिन्होंने उस नश्वरता पर निर्णायक रूप से विजय पाई और उसे पार किया जिससे सभी सजीव प्राणी डरते हैं, और जो अपनी कृपा से भक्त को मृत्यु-भय पार करने और अपनी शाश्वत प्रकृति पहचानने में मदद कर सकते हैं

मरणासन्न लोगों की शैया पर और शोक के दुख में भारत के परिवार इस नाम का जाप करते हैं; मृत्युञ्जय गणेश मृत्यु को नहीं रोकते बल्कि उसके आतंक को विलीन करते हैं, उस शाश्वत आधार को प्रकट करते हुए जो हमेशा वहाँ था।
