Yudhishthira Crowned and Indraprastha Built
Gandhari welcomes Draupadi but foresees in her the death of her sons, and has Kunti and the Pandavas lodged in Pandu's house. Dhritarashtra has Yudhishthira consecrated king with Krishna's approval and Vyasa presiding, then sends him with half the kingdom to the ruined Pauravas' capital of Khandavaprastha, while Duryodhana forbids the citizens to follow. At Krishna's call Indra sends Vishvakarman, who builds the splendid city of Indraprastha with its walls, gardens and lakes; Yudhishthira enters it in state, and after thanking Krishna and hearing Kunti's farewell, Krishna returns with Balarama to Dvaraka.
