The King of Madra Questions Vyasa on Sacrifice

Bhishma tells of a conversation between the king of Madra and Vyasa at a Vedic sacrifice. The king asks about holy places, who is worshipped in the sacrifice, the post, the chants, Om and the path to the meaning of the Veda. Vyasa tells the Brahmins to put the question to Keshava; Krishna in turn asks Vyasa to answer, and Vyasa, with joined palms, begins by praising Krishna's endless and eternal form.
